Learning to say “Thank you Lord” even when you don’t get what you want

October 9, 2012

Today I finally had to make a decision about my surgery. I have been dealing with the insurance company for almost 3 weeks and I did not receive an approval for the robotic assistance so I wrote them and chose the conventional surgery because I need to move on. This means I will be spending a few days in intensive care after the procedure. I am calm, happy and confident that God is in control.

The surgery is scheduled for Tuesday September 18 as long as I recover from a bad cold that is keeping me in bed this week. I appreciate all the great emails and calls I have received, your friendship and love is keeping me strong. I hope you can join me in prayer on Tuesday asking for wisdom for the doctors and strength for me and my family.
